Ever get lost in a story? Neuroimaging shows there are two powerful elements at play. One is narrative transportation which influences perspective, beliefs, and actions by transporting viewers into a story. The other is character identification, which happens when we take the perspective of a character, as though we are experiencing the story through their eyes.

THE BEST WAY TO TELL A REALLY GOOD STORY IS WITH A REALLY GOOD FILM.
People love watching videos. When we watch videos, our brain chemistry drastically changes. The intellect is bypassed (“suspension of disbelief”) which means we’re exposing the heart to the message and imagery while limiting criticism, predisposition, or bias. Powerful stuff.
And, film engages our strongest motivators – visuals and sound. We can greatly affect someone’s mood or spur them to action with the right combo of audio and video. Add an authentic story, and people are compelled to empathize, care, and act.
One of our first filmed stories for small businesses was for a company that had just recently launched a new product, StickTwirl.
